Martin Blank has been coaching acting for over thirty years. He coaches in person, and online in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, New York City, and Atlanta. He is known for his supportive coaching style and for developing fast and effective techniques for actors, or what Martin terms "acting steroids."
Martin's students have had co-star, guest star, and recurring roles on: Blindspot, Bones, Bull, CSI, Dexter, Difficult People, The Equalizer, FBI, FBI: Most Wanted, God Friended Me, Grimm, Homicide: Life on the Street, House of Cards, How to Get Away with Murder, The Inspectors, Law and Order, Law and Order: Organized Crime, Law and Order: SVU, NCIS, Oz, The Resident, The Staircase, Succession, S.W.A.T., Turn, The Wire, Xena: Warrior Princess, and many more, and two-character scenes in motion pictures with F. Murray Abraham, Matt Damon, Daniel Day-Lewis, Richard Gere, Gal Gadot, Tom Hanks, Woody Harrelson, Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, and Julia Roberts.
Martin's students have been accepted by the acting programs at The Yale School of Drama, USC, North Carolina School for the Arts, and the Shakespeare Theatre Company's MFA program. He has served as Artistic Associate for the American Place Theatre, New York City, as well as Founding Artistic Director, Theater J. He attended the University of Maryland and the Yale School of Drama.
