Martin Blank has been coaching acting for over thirty years. He coaches in person, and online in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, New York City, and Atlanta. He is known for his supportive coaching style and for developing fast and effective techniques for actors, or what Martin terms "acting steroids."
His students have had TV roles (and recurring roles) on FBI, FBI: Most Wanted, The Equalizer, Bull, S.W.AT., House of Cards, The Wire, How to Get Away with Murder, Veep, Grimm, Difficult People, God Friended Me, Succession, The Resident, The Inspectors, Law & Order, Law & Order, SVU, Law & Order: Organized Crime, Blindspot, Turn, Bones, NCIS, Dexter, CSI, Homicide: Life on the Street, Oz, The Staircase, and many more, as well as two-character scenes in Hollywood motion pictures with Tom Hanks, Natalie Portman, Daniel Day-Lewis, Richard Gere, Julia Roberts, and Woody Harrelson.
His clients have been accepted by the acting programs at The Yale School of Drama, USC, North Carolina School for the Arts, and the Shakespeare Theatre Company's MFA program. Martin has served as Artistic Associate for the American Place Theatre, New York City, as well as Founding Artistic Director, Theater J. He attended the University of Maryland and the Yale School of Drama.
